I love shooting on the beach. I’m so lucky to live by the sea, and have the chance to make the most of the beautiful Kent coast.
So when Sophie booked in for her engagement session, I straight away suggested a sunset beach session! Luckily Sophie was happy to go along with my suggestion (and Nathan just did as he was told haha).
It was only after we had discussed dates and I had them in the diary that Sophie realised the significance of the date we had chosen. It was exactly a year before their wedding!
On the day I was anxiously checking the weather forecast. We had had rain for most of the week, but thankfully that day it stayed dry. It was very windy though, not the best conditions for wearing a dress and standing on a sandy beach! But Sophie was a star, and Nathan did a great job with modesty duty, keeping Sophie’s dress from blowing up too much.
We had so much fun, even the desert-style sandstorm didn’t stop us. Even though Nathan couldn’t wait to finish up so he could join my husband and children playing football, he was a good sport 🙂
I’m so happy to have been able to capture some beautiful photos for such a lovely couple! Now the countdown to the big day really begins!
