We are almost in December! How did that happen?! The year has sped by! As Christmas approaches most of us face the often difficult task of choosing the perfect gift!
This can be even more difficult when the person you are buying for is expecting a baby! Its a minefield. Alcohol is out, so are a lot of foods. Chocolate can either be a life-giving elixir or the vomit-inducing stuff of nightmares. Do you buy things for the baby or not? Its so hard to know what to buy for the expectant lady in your life.
So I’ve put together a few ideas, which I know would have been on my wishlist this year if I were having a baby (I’m not. Don’t get excited haha).

Hypnobirthing classes with Kent hypnobirthing
Hypnobirthing is a powerful technique that can help you to feel calm and in control before and during labour and birth. Classes teach techniques to calm your body and mind, breathing and relaxation, and how to approach your birth in a positive way (this makes such a huge difference!). It can help to keep you focused and can be a very useful tool in achieving the birth you have always dreamed of. Couples can attend together, so really its a gift for both of you!
The new Folkestone classes are taught by Katy, who I know from my breastfeeding peer support volunteering. She is a lovely, calm and warm person, and I almost wish I was pregnant again so I could attend her classes!
Private and online classes are also available.
Priced at just £250 for the group course, you also receive a copy of the book The Calm Birth School by Suzy Ashworth, 5 mp3s, the course workbook, a goody bag and access to private Facebook groups and the Kent hypnobirthing members area. Baby hat knitting kit
Sometimes, when the nesting instinct kicks in, expectant Mums find they have the urge to create beautiful things for their impending arrivals. With my last baby I was so excited to be able to knit him lots of gorgeous woolly items, including hats and booties, dungarees and rompers. Beautiful WAHM dyed wool in bright rainbow colours had me occupied for most of my spare time.
For the beginner to knitting, or those looking for a simple project, these little Cairngorm baby hat knitting kits from The Knit Kit company are perfect! Available in a choice of colours, they are priced at £15.99 and contain everything you need to make an adorable little pompom bobble hat.
Also available is a kit to knit the matching booties (also £15.99), or buy both together for £19.99.

It has space to keep track of all those scans and appointments, as well as lots of room to write down your hopes and fears, keep a record of how your pregnancy is going, write notes on baby names and shopping lists. It even had tips and room to prepare your birth plan, and write all about your labour and birth. A lovely keepsake to look back on in years to come , and pass down to baby when they are older.

And of course, no gift list would be complete without mentioning
