Paint splash photography fun!
My baby boy turned three last week! We decided that to celebrate, we would do a paint splash session. Little one isn’t too keen on cake, and he just loves to make a mess! So this was perfect for him:)
We set up in the garden, and were faced with a few difficulties. Whilst it hadn’t seemed very windy, as soon as I got the backdrop set up we noticed every gust. My paper backdrop kept blowing around, so I had to find a way to anchor it. What you won’t see in the images is the two bricks holding it down!
I wanted to dress my son in something simple, that it didn’t matter when it got splattered with paint. So I chose a basic white vest and boxer shorts. Of course, it didn’t take long for them to no longer be white!
Chayton had so much fun! He started off using the brushes, but soon got stuck in, smearing it around with his hands and feet. He loved it when we gave him the bottles and let him squirt out his own paint! He even decided to taste some (non-toxic paint all the way!).
I loved shooting this session. There is something so satisfying about watching a child set free, just exploring with all his senses and having an absolute ball. His happy little face says it all!
