This week has been a special week for my family and I. We have added a new baby to our brood!
Ever since Whiskas started to use a silver tabby kitten in their adverts, I have longed to own one (or have it own me, as the case often is with cats!). Sadly we are not in a position to own a pedigree British shorthair. So 6 years ago we gave a home to two beautiful kittens, a fluffy black and white we named Panda (of course!), and a cute little tabby we called Pixie. I adore my furbabies. They are friendly, playful and very very good with the children.
My Timehop app has been full of them as kittens this past few weeks, and it had me longing for another kitten. I started browsing Facebook selling sites and local adverts. I phoned round all the local rescue centres. And then I found him. The One. A gorgeous kitten, with grey tabby markings. I fell in love. But elation turned to devastation very quickly. He had sold 🙁
I kept looking, posted on Facebook asking my friends and family to keep an eye out for me.
And then it happened. My niece messaged me to say someone had contacted her to say they had a grey and white tabby for sale. She sent me a photo, and I fell in love.
We went to see her and brought her home the next day!
After some debate we named her Precious Princess Pebbles, but we call her Pebbles for short.
She is confident, feisty and playful. She is full of love, adores cuddles and chasing her toy mice. She will grab you and nibble on your fingers, and then lick you as if to say sorry. So is a bundle of fluff and fun. We all adore her. Panda and Pixie weren’t too sure. Panda spent the first 24 hours hiding upstairs, sulking. But now he grooms her, and sits flicking his tail for her to pounce on!
She has slotted straight into our madhouse like shes been there forever. She may not be an expensive pedigree, but to us she is priceless 🙂
