Newborn photography session Kent
When someone books me for a newborn session, I always try to make an effort to find out a little bit about them and their family. But I still feel a certain amount of apprehension on the day of a session. I am, usually, walking into a stranger’s house with quite a lot of pricey equipment after all 😉
But with Laura, that wasn’t the case at all. We exchanged lots of messages before baby Alice was born, and I really felt that we connected. By the time the day of the session came around, I already felt like I knew her. Sasha and I were instantly at ease. Laura and Mark were so friendly, and their boys were so well behaved and beautiful!
Alice wasn’t too keen on having her photo taken. She wasn’t unhappy at all, but she really didn’t want to sleep! She was wide awake for most of her session, leading to some beautiful wide-eyed awake shots 🙂 She also peed on absolutely everything 😉 Every blanket, every wrap. She christened them all. But it was a small price to pay for such a chilled out baby!
We found out at the end of the session why she was so unsettled. Turned out she needed to poo! And she did, alot! All over her poor Mummy. Sadly I was packing up by then, so I didn’t manage to catch it on camera. But believe me, Laura’s face was priceless 🙂
Sasha and I really enjoyed this session, we both totally fell in love with Alice! I can’t wait for more sessions with them all in future 🙂
